Matt has served as Executive Chairman of our board of directors since May 2022 and has served as our President since October 2018, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer effective August 2026. Previously, Matthew served as our Chief Financial Officer from March 2018 to November 2021, and again as interim Chief Financial Officer from January 2022 to March 2022. Mr. Wilks also has served as Vice President of Investments for THRC Holdings, LP since January 2012. Additionally, he served as a member of the board of directors of Approach Resources, Inc., an E&P company focused on the exploration, development and production of unconventional oil and gas resources in the United States, and as Vice President of Logistics for FTS International, Inc. Matthew currently serves on the board of directors of Flotek Industries, Inc. and as Chairman of the board of directors of Dawson Geophysical Company.
Matt joined ProFrac Services in 2017 and serves as Chief Commercial Officer. Matt directs the sales, marketing, commercial operations, and serves on the ProFrac ESG board. He was previously serving as Senior Vice President of Sales. Matt brings 17 years of oilfield services, beginning in 2004 with a Barnett Shale completions-based service company. This company specialized in water management, power generation, flowback, and completions chemicals. Matt was promoted to General Manager in 2006 and instrumental in the expansion of the Barnett, Haynesville, Eagle Ford, and Marcellus shale. In 2010 SCF Partners purchased the company, forming Rockwater Energy Solutions.
Austin comes to us from investment banking firm PiperSandler, where he served as a Managing Director specializing in the energy services and equipment sector. In addition to his extensive experience in investment banking, Austin also previously worked for Superior Energy Services as the CFO of its North American business.
Steve serves as Chief Legal Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary for PF Holdings. He is responsible for driving the company’s legal strategy, including with respect to PF Holdings' transactional, litigation, governance and compliance priorities. Prior to joining PF Holdings in 2023, he spent 15 years at AbbVie Inc. and Abbott Laboratories, advising those companies on securities, finance and transactional matters. He received his law degree from the University of Minnesota and his undergraduate degree in International Politics from Brigham Young University.
